About Us
Preferred Grain Systems offers high quality equipment to farmers and commercial elevators throughout the Northeast. Owner, Chuck Kyle began Preferred Grain Systems in 2015 to pursue his lifelong interest in selling and servicing high quality farm equipment. Through his own experiences as a hay, grain and beef farmer he recognized the need for farmers to have access to top performing equipment brands, set up properly and turn-key ready to go to the field. Starting with Sioux Steel Company grain bins and livestock equipment, Preferred Grain Systems soon added Mathews Company grain dryers, and RAD equipment grain legs, conveyors and augers. In 2017 Preferred Grain Systems added the Bale Baron by Marcrest manufacturing to provide farmers with fast, labor efficient equipment for producing small square bales. Again in 2019 through on-farm experience Preferred Grain Systems recognized a need and added a full line of weed control equipment including tine weeders, camera guided cultivators, high residue cultivators, electric weeders and weed flamers for organic and conventional farmers battling tough weeds. Weed Control brands include Hatzenbichler, Hiniker, The Weed Zapper and Flamerstar. As Preferred Grain Systems continues to grow, we have added tillage equipment including European rollover plows and high-speed discs by Gregoire Besson and Norwood Kwik Till.
Our grain system projects have included tower dryers, grain legs, storage over 150,000 bushel, feed mills and seed cleaning facilities. We offer complete designs to be sure the system you build today will continue to service your needs in the future. Preferred Grain Systems offers a full range of equipment for specialized needs. The farm equipment we offer for hay and grain production is backed with our experience of using it on the farm. If we wouldn't have it on our farm, we won't put it on your farm.
No matter what you choose from our long list of our equipment offerings, Preferred Grain Systems has the knowledge to set it up properly and service it. Our technicians have technical training and certification as well as experience operating in the field. They continually receive training through our manufacturers to stay up to date on the latest products we offer. We are on-call throughout the year to service what we sell in a timely, professional manner.
As we begin 2022, we also begin construction of our new 7,200 square foot shop to further our ability to set-up and service equipment. Give us a call for an appointment at our shop or your farm to discuss how your equipment can make each day in the field more productive and profitable.
